If you have an old Stainless Performer but can't find/afford a 5 pound Propane tank

I wonder if you could use one of these Camp Chef Disposable Bottle Adapter as an adapter between the regulator and an easy to find disposable tank

That could work with a new regulator, but most SSP's came with a regulator designed to work with the quick connect tanks. The male end of the adapter you posted is designed for a QCC1 connection.
