HM & Smokin-It mods now complete!

Yesterday I completed my Smokin-It #2 modifications for HeaterMeter control via Solid State Relay (SSR). Here's pics of my smoker modifications and HeaterMeter build. I installed a DPDT switch to toggle between my original analog controller and HM PID controls (not that I'll probably be using analog much anymore). I also installed a permanent thermocouple probe for my "pit" temps. I only did a quick test to ensure both methods kicked on the heating element. My next tests will be calibrating PID parameters and trying to cook some MEAT!

Tony,

Looks great! Now you just need to spend $2 on a male k-type thermocouple plug so you don't have to try and jam those connectors into the TC jack on the HeaterMeter.

I just didn't have it hooked up until I wired the TC into my smoker because I needed the wires to run through the 3/8" grommet.
