Hey folks,
Just wanted to say I've been a casual observer on this forum for a while and it's amazing how much knowledge and passion you all have.
Like all of you I love these grills! My parents started me on this train through the acquisition of a Weber Genesis II in 1988. I learned to cook on it as a kid and I'm happy to say with proper maintenance and a few overhauls here and there this grill is still in use at my cottage.
I've done about 30 restorations of these grills and given them away to friends - they now all have Weber Genesis grills and can't believe the difference between these and some of the cheaper grills they once had. The knowledge of this forum has helped me through each of these restorations and it's amazing how much there still is to learn.
Looking forward to contributing more, this is a great community and resource!
