Nice to meet you all, Chris here. I purchased a Weber Genesis Silver C a couple years ago for $100. Worked very well, now I'm at the point of doing some upgrades and maintenance. Looking forward to talking with you all and getting some much needed advice!

I will eventually be restoring it to better condition, but it's pretty much rust-free which is almost unheard of for the Northeast ;)

Here's some things I wish to do after I get the valves fixed:

-ss grates
-ss flavorizer bars
-ss burner tubes

I plan on power washing the firebox and maybe even walnut blasting it if I can get my car friend to do it for me. I'll be spraying the outside with high-temp paint (except the lid of course) and sanding/painting the cart.

Thanks Bob!

I'm a HUGE fan of whole roasted chicken. We put a nice seasoning on the entire bird (~6-8lb.) and throw it on the grill for 20min/per pound. I turn off the middle burner so the front and back burners give it a rotisserie effect, with both burners set on medium. The temp is usually 325-350. It comes out perfect every time. No need to touch it AT ALL, just have to check for done-ness. :)
