I've been creeping on the forum for about a week, after getting an older Weber gasser, and decided to be more participatory (I'll have to post a separate thread with the grill - got a few questions).

I'm a decent kitchen cook, new to Weber/decent grill ownership, and a mid-beginner with grilling (I can make hot dogs, chicken, and burgers safe for consumption, but haven't locked down technique, steaks, or smoking).

My dad always had a Weber kettle growing up, and I really enjoyed the ritual of relaxing outside while you cook. Probably how I got into cigars: something to pass the time.

I look forward to being an active member of the community! Sorry in advance for any dumb questions.

Welcome to the forum and there are no dumb questions.;) We all have them at times. Lots of people to help you out so don't worry, just ask away and have fun.
Looking forward to your first post cooking.

Welcome to the forum JJackson. This is a great place to learn and to share. Many here would love to help with your restoration projects.

Welcome pal. We have several STL folks here and we invite you to our meet-up at the NEW Weber restaurant at the Galleria after it opens. New guy buys 8)
