I am the proud owner of a pair of vintage Red Heads, a Genesis Jr., and a Genesis 1000. I've been finding some very useful information here, and decided to jump in. The 1000 works grate (pun), trying to bring Jr. back from the dead. Seems no one is making burners for that model.

Hi Steve, and welcome to the forum , I also had a red Weber Genesiss 1000 and a red Weber Genesis junior , the junior I picked up had very little use and only need a new igniter, I made and put maple wood slats on both red Genesis's . I finally sold the junior for $100.00 CDN or $73.00 USD , I advertised the Junior for sale as a very rare Weber model in great shape but no one in my neck of the woods really knew the rarity and significance of a red Genesis junior.

Hi Steve I just joined here minutes ago and your post is the first I read. I recently picked up a couple redheads. A Genesis 1000 and a Genesis 2000. I haven't started working on them yet but I will soon.

I wish I lived near you I would have bought that Junior for sure. I'm looking at one for $150 right now.

Welcome.

In the buy sell trade, someone had junior burners cut down and welded to the proper length.
Thanks Dan. Being new to this site, my navigation skill aren't up to speed yet. Where do I find this " buy sell trade" option?
Finding burners cut down to size would save me from yet another project.

Steve, there is a forum just for buying, selling, trading.

Here's the thread I was thinking about

Do you still have the Genesis 1000? If so, what are you selling it for?

Hi Esther, I still have the Genesis 1000 but won't be selling it anytime soon as I stocked up on all new extra spare parts for the future flavorizer bars, burners, grates, etc. and even GrillGrates to experiment with.
