Hi Guys!
I'm from Far Rockaway, NY and a big fan of the Weber Smokey Mountain Smoker (18"). My wife bought it for me as a Father's day/Anniversary/Birthday gift after years of grilling on a traditional propane grill. Since receiving it, I've been glued to this site for recipes and ideas for creativity. Now that the forums were updated, I decided to join.
A little about me: I'm an Orthodox Jew. So I keep strict kosher: no pork; no mixing dairy (cheese) and meat; no roadkill; etc. As an IT consultant that owns his own business, I can find the time between customers to start smoking some meats and then coming home at my convenience for a delicious dinner.
I've only about 15 smokes - but it's enough to break the ice on increasing my experience. There is a lot more for me to read on these forums. But for now, I've been following Harry Soo's Wisdom and it's worked great!
Thanx for this great website as a resource to the smoking community!
