Thanks for the add and hello from Wisconsin.
Excited to be part of this group as I will be starting my first Weber restoration. I just picked up this gem at an estate sale for $15! Not 100% sure yet, but I believe this is a Genesis 1000 from 1993.
Burners are in good shape and it has the original heavy duty cast iron grates that are in great shape as well (not the enamel coated ones in the more recent models). Needs new igniter, gas hose/regulator, and warming racks, but other that than just a heavy clean, paint touch up, wood restoration, and maybe new flavorizer bars.
I know the grey lid isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I find the pinstripes unique and like the retro look. More importantly it’s in great condition with no chips or rust in the enamel.
