Hello and Happy 4th!!

What a fitting weekend to be joining this group. Hi, I am the original owner of a Weber 2000 (early 1990s??) - see photo. I didn't plan to keep it this long I just never had a reason to replace it. I generally like to try to fix things and get a long life out of them when I can. I recently got a new cherry handle and the white inserts for the wheels from a couple guys on Etsy. A number of years ago I replaced the original wooden shelves with the weber replacements which are a grey plastic. I plan to make custom cherry slats to match the handle. I recently restored the tank scale it was covered in rust and I found this bulletin board looking for a replacement for my fading gauge sticker. So just when it was looking better I decided to tighten the bolts on the bottom cross bar and the welding on the nuts inside the square tubing (I assume that's how its constructed) must have failed because now the bolts spin and the square tubing flops around. I was planning on dousing the nuts with WD40 and somehow getting a screwdriver or something in there to hold them steady so I can remove the bolts. There is a welder near me I thought he could weld new nuts on. If anyone has had this happen and has a better plan I'd much appreciate the advice. Well, happy 4th and I look forward to reading some of the old threads and getting (and hopefully giving) some good tips.
