Has anyone tried Sriracha knock offs?

Just wondering if the knock offs are similar or totally different flavor profiles. The real stuff is too expensive. I still have a half bottle left, I guess I better savor every drop.

I bought something at Aldi not to long ago that was labeled as garlic hot sauce. I had never seen it before but figured I would try it. It didn't even cross my mind that it was an attempt at Sriracha until I tasted it. It made sense since it was in the same kind of bottle and had the same consistency. I liked it, but it wasn't as good as the real deal. It was fairly inexpensive though, so there's that.

Make a small batch. You can find the red Fresno’s easily by us.

I've been using the original Huy Fong for about 15 years or so. Before big grocery stores carried it. I'd buy it small Asian grocery stores.
It's good stuff that has it's place with many foods. However, I've found several very acceptable alternatives. Tabasco brand is probably my favorite.

Texas Pete's Sriracha-Cha is very good as well.

I also picked up a bottle of Trader Joe's two days ago. I tried it a few years back and thought it tasted weird but I'm going to give it another try.
Huy Fong shot themselves in the foot any way you look at it.

I found a the Tabasco one to try, the reviews I have read rate it as one of the popular replacements for the rooster.

Side by side the Tabasco is a little darker, flavor profile is close enough. The Rooster better watch his tail, the competition is coming!
