I posted earler about replacing my Genesis 1000 gasser. I am definitely a Weber guy with 2 Weber Charcoal Golds, WSM and the Genesis gasser.

Since I am going to spend $700+ I thought about checking out the competition. There are some other brands like Broil King, Holland, and Napoleon, etc that have good reputations. Has any one owned, tested or considered any other brands of gas grills? I know Holland seems to have a devoted following just like Weber.

Not really looking to make a change but figure it might be another 10-15 years before I get to ask this question again.

Two of my neighbors have Holland grills and they both like them a lot. However with a holland you have only one burner control -- On or off. Thus there is no Searing just cooking like in an oven. That said They have a good warranty and parts are reasonable after that.

These neighborhood grills are both over 10 years old and still going just like my Webers.

I still like Weber because I can get them hot or cooler like an oven.

Just my 2 cents

guess I am a Weber kind of guy

broil kings are wonderful. No Bells or whistles and thay look kinda ancient, but they cook wonderfully!!! good luck

A friend had a Napoleon Nat Gas that I cooked on a few times and I thought it was a well-built piece of equipment.

Still if I was spending my money, I don't think I would think too long about anything but a Weber.
