has anyone doen an ash removal mod to the ranch kettle?

has anyone doen an ash removal mod to the ranch kettle? I am going to remove the vent baffles and mod the openings with rotating fins.

If I could afford a ranch, I would just go ahead and spend a couple of hundred on a steel fireplace ash vacuum.
