Grilling Mod For 22"...

I've been reading some of the mods to use the WSM for direct grilling, however they are all for the 18". Which mods work for the 22"?
I really want to be able to grill on my WSM...in fact, it was a one of the reasons my wife "allowed" me to get a WSM.

Welcome, just put the charcoal grate on the lower rack. I used to grill on my 22 all the time. You can also put a pan underneath to catch the ashes.

or remove the center section and put a grill on the lower section. If you have a lid from a 22 kettle it will fit over the lower section of the 22 WSM.
