Grill fan (convection style)

Smoking on the grill is fantastic, but there is a very real gradient in the grill when it comes to temperatures for offset cooking.

I'm thinking a small fan could solve this, but would ideally need to withstand any and all temperatures I can throw at it. Theoretically I could go with an "only for offset grilling" temperature, but I would like one that can handle the full 600° output.

Battery powered would be even more ideal.

Does anything like this exist?

This looks intriguing, it's a heat powered fan. Unfortunately, I don't think it would work in the grill unless right over the heating element. It looks like it works via a piezoelectric generator. I'm not sure if this would withstand high grill temperatures either, but the fact that it works without batteries or power is a huge plus.

That is like those Christmas candle decorations with what looks like a fan or propeller over candles and the hot rising air turns it

You quoted my post right as I edited it. In the amazon reviews there's a video, and it has what looks like a piezoelectric generator which makes electricity from the temperature differential. Pretty neat and unbelievable for the price!

Apparently heat-powered stove fans are a thing.

I found another model. They say it has a bimetallic safety switch that triggers at 644°F at the base:
