Hey everyone!
I've been using a Weber charcoal kettle for years ( use the solidteknics carbon steel grill ring and GrillGrates with it). I have a slow n sear stainless for offside cooking.
My impromptu cooking has turned into burgers and dogs, as I have 2 children under 6 years old, so I needed something more convenient.
Plus when my wife is hungry, she can't stand my slow cooking methods.
I picked up with a old Weber Silver B a few months back, which funny enough I owned one many years ago.
I've replaced every part on it.
It was missing the grease pan, both warming racks (the static one and the swivel basket one) & thermometer.
Went ahead and replaced the rusted grates, flavorizers, burners, and igniter (which I broke without realizing the wires were taught).
I replaced the grease pan with just a steel cookie sheet. LOL
Instead of standard grates replacement I picked up the aluminum GrillGrates as well as a couple aluminum GrillGrate Griddles.
I picked up the griddles because I found out about smash burgers, and I want more options to make eggs and Pig Candy with (crispy and chewy)
I ended up here by searching about indirect cooking (because I'm a beer o clock griller).
Glad to give this old gal some new life.
