Next door neighbor for 23 years has been coming over a couple of nights a week for the last month or so to have a few beers and talk. He's almost like a son to us and has had a tough go of it for the last few months, capped off by his 16-year-old son having a serious ankle/leg injury at his first football practice of the year last week. Just had surgery this past weekend and may require another one, depending on how the ankle mends.

He brought over some pinwheel burgers yesterday afternoon, a pack of Silva's Louisiana Hot Links and some Havarti slices to top the burgers with. I had thawed a pack of brats for supper, threw them all on the Traeger at 325 and served with a pasta salad (PDF attached) I'd whipped up earlier.
Sorry, no pics.

Just wanted to plug all of the proteins. The Silva hot links were the best I've ever had, and the Marketside (Walmart) original brats were excellent too. If you've never tried pinwheel burgers, you're missing out. Just lay out some strips of bacon, pack about 3/4 inch of 80/20 on each one, sprinkle with your favorite burger seasoning and roll them up.

Not to be confused with a Louisiana product, correct?
