Getting a Summit 670 and Smoker Box

Hello, first time poster long time reader.
I'm looking at getting the Weber Summit 670 and was wondering how well the Smoker box
works. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks
 
I fairly recently picked up a used Summit Gold D 6 burner from CL w/ the smoker box & dedicated burner.
I haven't used it yet (refurbishing first) but I can't see why/how it won't work. Wish I had more to offer, but I'm anxious to get it done and fire it up.
 
It will work just fine but don't expect a "smoker" it will still be a gas grill but with a little addition of smoke flavor on the meal.
 
I have an S-650 with the smoker box and burner on the end. I find that most of the smoke goes right out the end of the grill where the smoker burner is. It is better than no smoker burner, but you don't get the smokiness like you do on a charcoal grill with wood chips or chunks.
