Was traveling to Florida a couple weeks ago and stopped in Tifton for gas, happened to smell the smoke from a place called "The Smokehouse" and couldn't resist going in. It is an old school place, not much to look at - my wife and I both had the pulled pork sandwich. It was a nice sized sandwich, good flavor and tender meat. No sign of any rub or bark but it had obviously been smoked with wood. they have 3 different sauces to try if that is your thing, The sandwich, 1 side and a drink for $5.99 is a good deal - I'd recommend stopping there if you are traveling through the area. Nice people and excellent sweet tea too!

Stopped there a few times and you are right it is good. That was once a Sonny's BBQ restaurant and I understand they took the franchise away from him for whatever reason. So he just continued on as usual without the Sonny's name. It is worth stopping in and checking out.
