Genesis 21000 Broken Right Hand End Cap

My Genesis 21000 has a broken Right Hand End Cap part: WEB60403, can it be welded? It costs $109 for a new one. I am planning to have a welder to weld it. Please let me know if it can be welded.

The question is really for you. If a metalworker wants to try his hand, I'm sure it can be done. Its not like a normal gasser is going to be so hot that it'd melt a weld.

The integrity of a piece is definitely compromised by a bad weld. That might not matter, especially if its ~$20 for the weld, vs $109 for the part.
