Genesis 1000 flattop griddle?

Has anyone converted a Genesis 1000 to a dedicated flat top griddle? Yes I tried googling

Would not be hard. But, honestly this is one place where the burner layout is not as good for this application. The 1000 is too good of a grill to waste like that. Better off converting a N/S burner style. Just a plain ol 3 burner Genesis 3 series with front controls

I already have plenty of spare 1000 parts though!

Up to you, but it's not the best one to use for that application.
