Gasket for grease tray enclosure question. SmokeFire EX6

Anyone replace the gasket?

I noticed the inside of my ash catcher pan has been collecting water, cover on or off. The gasket surrounding the grease tray enclosure looks like it needs replacing. I contacted Weber since my EX6 is still under warranty. They asked me to show them the part I needed from the schematics. No gasket is listed?
They asked if I am having issues holding temp or food not being cooked as desired. No trouble there. I do mention that I had trouble with an auger burn back into the hopper last year. I asked if the issue with the gasket could have contributed to the burn back I had. The rep asked me to submit photos so they could review my issue.

They reviewed the pictures and said they would be sending a replacement auger motor (This contains the welded chute as well as a replacement auger, a replacement motor, and the necessary hardware, Welded burn pot & pellet slide) would resolve the issue.

No mention of the gasket I requested. lol Not sure if it's included but doesn't sound like it. I will be asking.

I want to stop the water intrusion. I was thinking of using Permatex Ultra Copper max temp RTV to seal the gap around the grease tray enclosure. If I just replace the gasket I'm sure it will fail again. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I think the high temp silicone RTV will be the way to go. Couple weeks ago after some really bad storms here, I wanted to cook something on Big Z. Decided to check my pull out grease tray. Filled with water! how the heck did that get in there?! I have a heavy cover on it that goes all the way to the decking. That one threw me for a loop.

My EX6 has one. IIRC it was attached to the main body right out of the box, so Weber stuck it on in the factory.
Like you said it's not in the diagram or in the assembly directions but you do see it on the Bilt app.
Mines still looks intact.

Any clue what enhancements? Weber sent that in an email,

We’ve reviewed the email from September 2 and understand that you were expecting multiple components. However, we’d like to clarify that the latest version of the auger motor now includes enhancements that address the functionality previously supported by the welded chute, replacement auger, welded burn pot, and pellet slide. As a result, those components are no longer shipped separately.

They are shipping me a burn pot kit. My grate is starting crack after 2.5 years. They are also sending a new ash pan, not sure why but I'll take it.

I haven't swapped motors yet to see if there is any difference. The one they sent looks the same. Current motor works fine as far as I can tell. I'm going to wait to install it until the burn pot stuff arrives.
