Fun with cornish hen

I sometimes like traditional meals and this is a favorite around here.
One cornish hen indirect, rubbed with olive oil then sprinkled with Old Bay. Add a little manzanita for smoke. Mesquite works well too.
You know the rest.

Hi John, Manzanita smells like a mellow mesquite. I really like it. I actually like mesquite a lot on fish and fowl. On fish I still prefer mesquite because it's a little more citrusy. But on chicken, cornish hen, turkey, pheasant and quail I prefer manzanita. I suspect you have a lot in your area. When we go on walks I always take my clippers. First I look for the dead stuff. Then I look for the real red small branches. Sometimes I will take a little thicker depending on what I find. When I get home I just trim it up and put it in a container. I always have some on hand. Thanks for the replies.
