Frying on the Side Burner

I added a side burner to my genesis grill, and use it a lot. I like to make fries, and fry fish on it, but dang is It MESSY. I don't have the right equipment, so I end up with oil everywhere.

Does anyone have examples of a good pot for frying (prefereably with a spout to drain without spilling oil everywhere), good temp guage to clip on the side, and anything else that can help make frying an easy and clean experience.
