The other day I was grilling some burgers and thought how nice some Onion Rings would go with them. (We had some Ore Ida Onion Ringer brand in the freezer.) Problem is that the house was a little warm and we were not wanting to run the air conditioner. The oven is electric, takes forever to heat up, plus the onion rings take 15 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for 5 to 8 minutes more on 400. Since I was at the Q grilling anyway I figured I would just throw one on and see how it turned out. Worked much better than I had hoped and I have cooked them out there a few times now.
I didn't time them, but I think they took about 5 to 8 minutes on each side. I had to shuffle them around a bit to keep a few of them from burning. Also, make sure they are pretty crispy on the first side before flipping. Between frozen and crispy they are mushy and fall apart easily.
