The Harbor Freight cart is pretty popular, cheap and easy to do. Here's the one I did for my 18.

What mods are worth the $$$

Don't overdo the notch make it as minimal as possible. It should go just below the seating surface of the flip the lid rides in so that the wire don't cause the lid to crack Don't cut it too deep or too wide. For any kind of cooking on the top grate anything besides the notch is just a PITA
