Hi everyone.

Im new here.
My wife sent me on a FB Marketplace run to pick up a grill last week.
I had a quick look, thought it looked solid, and ran over.
I was pressed for time, scurried it into the Prius V, bought propane and some marinated chicken thighs and thought I was sweet.

the kicker?
It's natural gas.

Now I've been knee deep in NG->LP swap best practices.

I've dug around a bunch and have one question. (for now).

If I find an appropriate LP manifold and swap it out, add a regulator and hose, am I good to start grilling?
In other words, do I need to mess with orifices if I swap the manifold?

I know you've walked a million people through this, but I appreciate the help and guidance.

Hi Nick, welcome. From the looks of your grill you're going to need a propane manifold with a 270° sweep and a tank scale unless you're ok with just setting the tank on the ground. You won't need to mess with the orifices since the right ones are already on the LP manifold.

Yep, a simple swap and you're good to go. FWIW there were 2 types of valves used on those grills. One of them will work quite well on either gas the other will not. And will not be able to regulate properly. I think (but I've not confirmed it myself) is the valves with the very large sweep were stepless and the valves with the short sweep were not. The large sweep can like some Summits be easily changed over with new orifices

Congrats!

You would need the LP manifold.
You would need a LP regulator.

You wouldn’t NEED, but would probably want:
- A Tank Scale to hang the LP tank on
- Two Tank Bumpers for the Tank to rest against when hanging on the scale.

Scale:

Bumpers:

Thanks everyone.

Follow ups:

1) Are there multiple versions of the 270* manifold to watch out for? Do I need a part number, or is there a way to further confirm which model I have/need?
2) What am I looking for to determine if the valves are useable or not?

Are these questions that can be answered with a serial number?

Yes, there is a natural gas version, and a propane version. A part # would be extremely helpful if you plan on buying a new one.

I don't think I understand the question. If you pick one up used I suppose there's always a possibility that there is something wrong but it is unlikely.

Ok, I would have to see a close up picture of your grill's control panel to verify this, but the part # of the correct LP manifold for it should be 60141. The prices are all over the place so do some shopping if you decide to go the new route. Maybe you'll get lucky and find someone here that is willing to swap manifolds.Screenshot_20250817-001144.png
