First Try Smoked Cheese

After seeing the threads about smoked cheese,and with Pammi Sue see S Raichlen smoking some mozzarellla today on the tube,guess who went to the store!

The chosen ones are montery jack,white cheddar,gouda and,of course,mozzarella!
The set up,

[/IMG],with one briq lit over three chunks of unlit leftover briqs amd a nice chunk of pear for flavoring. I let it go for an hour. I'm not sure of the temp.but it got pretty smoky out back! I forgot to get an after pic,but it didn't have any different color. It did smell HEAVENLY! I have it in a zip lock in the fridge mellowing out for Christmas snacking!
 
psst I don't see any pictures. Anyway this smoked cheese things and the small amount of briquettes is really foreign to me.
 
Open image tag on the second IMG call are the likely reason...when you grab the links from photobucket there is an option for the IMG code which you just drop into the editor on here without having to add the tags. It's the easiest way,if you ask me.
