What I have noticed with the new firmware is that it doesn't overshoot the temps as much. Also in shutdown, it doesn't reverse the pellets, as there are now always some pellets to be feed to the chute after shutdown. I think that keeps the auger from grinding pellets trying to reverse feed pellets into the hopper. I still get some overshoot when cooking but it is less drastic before the upgrade.
