Nurse and pilot from the middle of Pennsylvania.
Have had a Genesis since about 2005 that has served us well. Still in fantastic shape but it’s been at our beach place for the past few years. Wanting to bring it home and so have been thinking about buying another Weber for the beach. Was looking for a Genesis with a side burner since we do almost all cooking outside for 4 months of the year. Considered buying new again. Came across a Summit S 470 on FB Marketplace that came from a storage clean out. It’s missing the grates, flavorizers, smoke box and side burner grate but came with a full bottle. Bought it without even trying to start it. To my surprise it fired right up and seems to function great so far, including the lights and rotisserie.
Spent some time cleaning it up while I wait for replacement parts. I think I got a great deal for $50.
