I usually eat my T Bones/Porters/Strips/Sirloins/Ribeyes with just a simple garlic salt/black pepper seasoning. But sometimes I like to marinate them for a change up.
I think every body knows about the soy sauce and minced garlic marinade, but I have found a way to kick it up a notch that really compliments the beef. Here is what I do.
1/2 Cup Soy sauce
1 Heaping tablespoon minced garlic
1 Tablespoon Sriracha Sauce (more or less to your heat tolerance)
A little fresh ground black pepper (about 3 or 4 twists on the pepper mill)
Put all ingredients in a ziplock bag to mix and then taste. Make any adjustments if necessary. You want to be able to taste the heat of the Sriracha Sauce. Marinate steaks for several hours or over night. (longer then that will make them too salty from the Soy Sauce) Then broil or grill on the kettle.
This produces a really nice taste with a little after glow that kinda sneaks up on you. Try it and let me know what you think!
