Doing first clean and have questions

Doing my first clean of my SS performer. Will definitly need cleaning #2 but all looks much better. I noticed that ash cleaning star hits the propane tube as it moves ashes. Also the one touch does not light the propane anymore. All wires seem to be attached. Any help ????

The One Touch is the ash sweep system. They can be removed/rebent/reshaped. They are also SS, so if you need to replace them, order from Weber. The ones at your local hardware store are aluminized steel (not SS), and so are not really what you want

The Touch N Go igniter: Remove the attached wires, clean the contacts, reinstall, and see if it works.

Congratulations on the SS Performer. What color?
 
I cannot figure out how the sweep system is attached ? I can move the whole system back and forth a little. It does not hit then. Is the attachment somewhere underneath ???? Can always bend the one wing the just barely hits the tube.
