Doing an apple smoked injected bird for thanksgiving

Hi all,

have a 12 lb enhanced butterball so wont be brining. I plan on injecting with 1 cup apple juice, 1 cup honey, 1/2 stick butter mixture. I guess I'll throw some cut up apples in the cavity and smoke with some applewood.

Any suggestions/recommendations on the injection mixture (ingredients and ratios)? or a rub that would go good with the apple theme?
