Does CI increase temp....

i bought my first actual griddle to use on my 22 in the other day. before i had used CI pans and a rather large round griddle but the handles made it awkward to maneuver.

this is a pretty large standard griddle with the "grill" on one side and the flat side on the other.

i used it for the first time the other day. i used wayy less in my chimney than usual (i was just making sausages and dogs), but i noticed that my heat was wayyyy up. no temps taken, but it was just obvious it was super hot.

its a large CI grill that takes up about half of the 22... which i kind of liked all that space to work with.

but i am just wondered if the CI changes the actual temps. anyone else experience this?

CI just holds the heat better. The fire determines how hot things get. I just bought a CI grate to throw on my Performer grate for steaks.

He is my poor mans CI weber grill.
