Does anyone like the location of the lid hooks of the newer kettle grills?

I love the older OTG lids with their inner lid hooks placed directly under the thumb area of the handle. It makes it very easy to slide onto edge of the grill for hanging while your hand is grabbing the handle vertically like a beer mug. But at my local grilling store, I noticed that the newer Weber Kettle series grills now have the inner lid hook at a 90 degree angle from the handle. This makes sliding the lid down awkward, as now you have to grab the handle horizontally (like a dumbbell) to lower it down.

Does anyone else find the newer (~2015) lids more difficult to hang? I wish Weber didn't make this change!

Maybe your suppose to grab the lid the same way and slide it over / down to the side instead of the rear.

I dunno it could of been a safety/complaint issue? I know I burnt my forearm a few times bending over trying to hook it on the side of my 06 OTG. ( I blame that on operator error IE: alcohol ) I found it easier to hook it on the rear handle.
Then I saw a Slide/Aside and bought that.
Ergonomically it makes more sense to have it the old way, but who knows??
