Disassembling 2004 or 2005 Genesis Silver C

I believe I have a problem. In the last month or so I have acquired 3 new to me grills from marketplace. The latest is a free Silver C. I've looked at the exploded view, but I'm not certain how you pop off the side burner and cover so that I can remove the cover over the 3 burners gas valves. Does the side burner clip in? just unscrew the gas line and pop it up? I thought that I would ask before I break something. I found plenty of helpful videos, but none on a C that showed how to remove this.

Thanks!

It’s a tool free process to remove the side burner on these. There’s a spring clip that you can release from below to pop the assembly out. The gas line for the side burner disconnects in the same way an air chuck would…push up on the outer ring and pull the male side of the fitting and hose free.

I’m pretty sure you don’t need to remove the side burner at all to get to the main burners.

There are two Phillips screws to remove the main control panel for access to them. Duck down underneath and you will see them along this rail.

Remove them and the control panel will lift up and off.

Then you can remove the manifold’s two 7/16 nuts to remove the manifold and slide the burners out.

It still has to be easier to pull the side burner off first, which only takes about 20 seconds.
