I am interested in the BBQ Guru DigiQ, but have a question regarding the fan. I have two smokers I am wanting to use it with (not at the same time). I have a WSM and a Chargriller with SFB. The guru website says I need a 10 cfm fan for the WSM and a 25 cfm fan for the chargriller. I was thinking of just buying the larger fan and buy both grill adapters. I guess my question is will the DigiQ function the WSM correctly with a fan that is larger than what i need?

the bbqguru fans have a damper that you can shut down. i would think it would have to be close to all the way closed on a 25cfm fan but it will work just fine i think. though it may be a bit loud with over 50% of the airflow blocked off.i used the 4cfm fan on my wsm(18.5") until i broke my pit minder
i am doing it old school until i decide to replace it with a digiQ.
