Costco boneless pork shoulder, $5 off until Jan 30

Boneless and no 10-35% sodium solution. Bringing the price even better.

Course hormel always tender bone in and added saline is 99 right now.

Have cooked many of each. The Costco is higher quality. But i have better luck with the slocky ones

I haven't noticed any flavor difference between the bone-in and boneless, but I didn't do a side-by-side cook.

The bone in seemed to take longer to cook, but it could have been other factors.

bone in does take longer as the bone takes longer to heat than just the flesh. think of a boneless chicken thigh versus boneless. one cooks in 45-50 mins and boneless is done in 30 mins.

those shoulders make for good vietnamese charbroiled pork, char siu, ground pork, anything Mexican, italian gravy, meatballs with beef added to them, and more. i'm almost out of frozen pork so time to hit Costco today so a quick walk through for sale items.

Good to hear! I've always been told use the bone in as they have more flavor but so long as they do not change the flavor profile, much if at all, I'm all in.

Here in NC Smithfield is always $2/lb and every other week it's $1/lb. Does the Costco butt give a better result?
I don't know but here in No. Cali the pork shoulder was well above $3 lb boneless for months, and just recently came down to $1.99 which was why I posted this along with the $5 bucks a package off.
