Is it worth $70?

I want it becuase it is red and looks cool but it will take more to convince my wife!!

Any help would be appreciated

Ummm Yeah! Thats brand new! Thats a collector item for us Weber enthusiasts! You won't ever find that listed again in Alaska....and in brand new condition. 70.00 or best REASONABLE offer? So you can get it for cheaper too? How soon can you get there! Go get it.

BTW...red ones in decent shape arent easy to find. A new one is near impossible. They no longer make that red color, and with wood handles too. That grill might be from the 80's, maybe early 90's. A new black OTS is 89-99.00 bucks new. Ive seen new red ones in box go for 250 at least on Ebay.

I'm with Jeff, Just tell your wife that a new OTS at HD is over $100 after tax. Besides, everyone knows that food cooked on a red one always tastes better.

after a closer look, you might be right George. It could be the new rib rack and clean/new cooking grate on it. Either way, its still pretty nice looking. Still worth the 70 easily in my opinion

I pulled the trigger and got the red weber!! It's not new. It has a few porcelain chips on the edge of the lid, the wood is showing some weathering, the bowl is dusty inside, and the ash catcher is dinged up a little with some light pitting. The grate doesn't seem to have been cooked on and the charcoal grate has some light rusting on it but doesn't look like it has had any fire on it.

Oh, I got it for $50 and it came with a new weber rib rack, some strange "hang on" style racks for something, a couple pairs of tongs, a spatula, a grilling fork, two aftermarket plastic grill covers, an order form for a weber cookbook and an owners manual.

If it makes you feel better about your purchase price I just sent a hell of allot more money than $50 to get a red one shipped thousands of miles to me after spending 6 months scouring Canada for one with no luck

Great score!!

Welcome to the Red Weber Registry. Super deal. Be sure to post some pics of the first cook on it.
