CI Sear grate

Got the sear grate to go with my gourmet grill system for Christmas. The only CI experience I have is with skillets. I've cooked on the sear grate twice now and like the results on steaks. I guess my question is how to treat this thing. Should I use a BBQ brush on the grate after cooking? What is the best way to store it? Do I need to oil it before/after each use? Anything else you all would recommend in the way of care? Or use? Thank you.
 
I have craycort CI. I use my wire brush after cooking while it is still hot and then spray some more oil on the grates and let the grates cure with the oil
