Putting on a Christmas feed the day after returning from a 6-day mini vacation would normally be a daunting task for a couple of old folks but, thanks to the results noted here, https://tvwbb.com/threads/reheating-turkey-parts.96778/ the heavy lifting will be done before we leave. I'll be cooking a 20 pounder later this week. After breaking down & vacuum sealing, will freeze the packages then move them to the fridge to slowly thaw on the 19th, just prior to leaving. That just leaves the sides to prep & cook on Christmas day.
Luckily, our daughter, Callie, will do some of the driving and also help with the prep. So hopefully, we'll be awake and able to enjoy the day.
