Chicken Tenderloins and ABT

I plan to cook chicken tenderloins instead of chicken wings for my son's graduation party (college age).

How long do I marinate the tenderloins and how do I cook them (i.e., on the kettle at what temperature and for how long?). Do I cook them whole and then cut into strips (how big)?

ABTs - should these cook on the smoker? What temperature and how long do I cook them (they will be wrapped in bacon)? Do I lay them flat on the grill or buy a contraption to stand them up?

Thanks much for your help.

Hello D Brewer, and welcome to the board!

I can answer the ABT part of your questions.
You can smoke 'em or grill 'em, whichever floats your boat.
250 on the smoker for an hour, or high heat and indirect on the grill for about 30 minutes. In either case, leave 'em on till the bacon is done.

No contraptions necessary, jus' plunk 'em down on the grate.

There's been some conversation lately about the bottom side of the bacon not getting done. Next batch I do, I'm just gonna put a little piece of bacon on top of 'em.

I did "roadside chicken" with boneless/skinless breasts over the weekend and the results were AWESOME!!!!!

I marinated for 4-5 hours and also mopped with the marinade (new batch) during the grilling process.

I imagine chicken TLs would be about the same kinda deal.

I ususally smoke ABTs for about 60-90 minutes......I like mine well done. I like the bacon absolutely done and the peppers soft and smokey!!

Seems as if tenderloins wouldn't take long at all. Well, if you're talking about the small breast tenderloins. 10 mintues max?
