Changing the rails Genesis Gold

Anyone have any tips on this? seems like a simple task, but both screws are so rusted in there I can't break them free. I had the same on a few performer screws and ended up breaking the plastic. In this case, there is no plastic, but it is pretty bad to break them in the firebox.:redgenesis1:

the rails are bent to the point they have a hard time holding the existing grease funnel tray in place.(replacement free from Weber)

Try heat, penetrating oil and lots of patience. It's too bad Weber didn't spend $.10 more per grill and use stainless steel or at very least put anti seize on the threads

Ditto to what Lmichaels said. I used a product called pblaster and a lot of patience. Mine were really rusted and frozen but eventually came out cleanly.

When you get them out replace them with stainless.
