Have you considered the Weber crafted options? Weber also do a CI GBS grate.Does anyone know where I might find some very high quality cast iron grill grates for my Silver B? Not interested in enamel coating. I would like a very heavy, very solid cast iron grate.
Thanks.
Did you find any? I’d be interested in some myself.Does anyone know where I might find some very high quality cast iron grill grates for my Silver B? Not interested in enamel coating. I would like a very heavy, very solid cast iron grate.

Using that set now, no complaints.
Thank you, Hank. I’ll grab a set for the 3000 LX I picked up today and the Gold B I’m converting to a C, courtesy of an organ transplant from the first Weber I ever owned; a Siver C I bought new in 2000. Like a faithful old hound, the Silver C still performs well for her master but with a cart rusted so badly she leans left on blocks of wood, with both casters and bottom wire shelf long gone and one frame cross member about to collapse… it is time to put the sweet girl down. I’ll salvage what I can.
Even though they cook the same I find the Gold C to be a much more attractive grill than the Silver C. I have been using a really nice one as my everyday grill since this spring.Thank you, Hank. Really nice, indeed. I haven't started yet but will be happy if mine turns out half as nice. The lid has a few small dents so I'll be looking to replace it.Even though they cook the same I find the Gold C to be a much more attractive grill than the Silver C. I did two Gold C's this year. The one I kept was in excellent condition to begin with and mostly needed a good cleaning. I repainted the lid badge and replaced the white walls and it looked like I just took it out of the box. The other one I did looked a lot worse than the one you have there when I got it and it still ended up looking close to new, although with a lot more work involved. I did restoration threads here on both grills if you care to look at them for inspiration. I'm sure yours will turn out just fine too.Really nice, indeed. Of course you can do your own restoration threads for us to follow along with too.I will definitely look for your restoration threads. After joining this forum on 10/13/2025, my wife already feels I am overly inspired! Thank you.
Well don't be afraid to ask questions here. I didn't know what I was doing when I restored my first grill and the advice I got here was extremely helpful and it was fun to document my experience along the way. We're ready when you are.I'll be happy to once I get started. This is new to me so I will be doing my homework first.
