Can you tell a 22 from a 26 from pics of the grate ? and will the "one-touch" mechanism from a 22" one-touch transfer to a 26?

EDIT: The pic is a 22, which I thought it might have been counting the ribs on the grate.

This was listed as a 28", but the seller just got back to me after measuring and it is a 22...

My question still remains though. If I come across a 26 inch kettle with a one touch sweeper on the bottom but a standard ash-tray, can the 22 inch ash catcher be adapted to work with it?

Looks like a 22 to me. Charcoal grate isn’t reenforced and I only see 3 bars in the triangle on the bottom.

Yeah, it is. Seller just got back to me. He posted the size from memory and when I asked he went and measured it.

$50 for a 26 would have been a bargain.

Yes. It is the same size.
