Can someone explain how to pull out the liner on a Weber Genesis special edition. Read it was bolted on somewhere here but only see one bolt on mine.

Is the liner installed different on different models? Mine is rusting out with no rust anywhere else and would like to remove it and need help with the process. Thank you.

You have to disassemble the lid which isn’t that hard with the right tools. The tricky part is removing the lid from the grill. One of both of the hinge pins tends to frozen.

If you can get the lid off just remove all the screws and bolts and thermometer and the liner should be free

Use a drill driver or 1/4 impact gun
T25 bit
3/8 hex bit
Pliers for the thermometer wing nut

On the one time I did it, I simply used a cutoff wheel. Simple and fast

I didn't even remove the lid. I think I just got a pliers on it and pulled in bent it until I got it out.

I believe that was on an s330

Thanks guys! Got it off but mine had studs all the way around holding the liner in. So after removing all the hardware you couldn't just pull it out or get pliers in here to pry it out. I should have use a cutting wheel but used some heavy duty sheet metal sheers and worked my way through the rusted whole. Took me about an hour or so for a 10 minute job lol. Thanks again.
