Call Weber for a Special Deal on Parts, They Took Care of Me

Somehow I fell off the BBQ Bandwagon 5-6 years ago and had my two older bullets sitting in the backyard.
Lockdown home-cooking got me back into it for my family and friends.

Anyways, I was worried because I have pre-2003 WSMs and the prices for replacement parts seemed out of range for restorations. I ended up calling them, and the customer service rep still had my address the last time I ordered from 10 years ago and offered most of the parts at 40% off and waived the shipping. I still ended up buying almost $200 worth, but I'm attached to my two old bullets. Called back to add a replacement door to the order - was told that it couldn't be done and was sent one for free.

Weber commands a price premium, but their customer service has been excellent to me. Just wanted to share that you should call and see or ask if they can do any better on the price if you are paying for some replacement parts. We get so used to the online stuff being the last word nowadays. I would have probably disposed of these and bought a new one at the online part prices, but I'm glad to keep my old ones and keep them out of the scrap/recycling yard.

I've fully restored one with all stainless steel hardware so far. Done four briskets in four weeks with help from Harry Soo's videos. Everyone is getting some of the BBQ love!
