I've been to this joint twice now. It has 4 1/2 stars on Yelp. But I haven't had anything that stood out as something I'd like to have again. I may try it again, since I'm local, just to give it a fair shake. But my take so far, is that the meats are relatively bland in terms of rub spice and smoke.
The business namesake is of John Willingham, a BBQ champion that has won Memphis in May, American Royal many timers, and other majors. John passed in 2013. I don't know the business arrangement the current owner of this joint. The Willingham named products, such as sauces and rubs, were apparently a separate business and are available at select markets and retailers or online here:
