Broken thermometer??

I have the Weber Style wireless thermometer and somethings wrong. I've changed the batteries out and reset the systems a few times but my temps are still reading 170+ just sitting next to me inside my house. Any thoughts?

It could be a bad probe, I had one that did something similar, changed out the probe with a spare one and it worked fine.
Have ya gotten the probe wet where it's crimped to the cable or has it been used on a recent high heater? I fried one on the OTG when I let the cable cross over the hot coals..

I received a new prob from Weber and it's working fine. I sure am glad it was that simple.
