Works been kicking my butt lately. I've barely been getting one or two cooks in a week. But,it is my birthday weekend. And I've been wanting some ribs in a big way! I got some BBs at Sam's yesterday. $2.99 a pound. Couldn't beat that!
I took two of the slabs and rubbed with a couple differnt kinds of Stubbs rub,Barbecue on the back and chili-lime on top! Smoked for 5 hours at 225*,with a couple chunks of pecan for flavor.

I went to the store this morning to get a paper, and said hello to an older gentleman as I was walking out to my truck. He was loading the old bread and pastries into his trunk to take to one of the shelters. The next thing I know,he has me talked into some garlic bread and a cake! He must have been/is a great salesman! he tried to give me more, but I said no!!!
I took the toast and cake home and tried something that I've seen before, but never tried. I sliced the cake into pieces and grilled them! http://s899.photobucket.com/albums/ac191/philperrin/?action=view&current=0902121855.jpg Wow! What a difference! The grill marks made a huge difference in flavor! Gonna do the other half tomorrow! ;)
