I just installed the first bbq guru eyelet in my 22" WSM. At first it was a little loose and eyelet would turn. I thought about it a little and used the second retainer in the kit as a sleeve over the eyelet. That extended the retainer over the end of the eyelet. Then, I used a 1/4" bolt countersunk head on outside of the smoker with a washer and nut on inside. Tightened up the nut carefully. the nut presses on the retainer and pushes the original retainer that will remain tight against the body of smoker. Tighten the allenhead set screw, remove the 1/4" bolt setup and the second retainer. Admire your work. When I install the second eyelet I will probably use a nut to be the spacer.
